Born in Vienna in 1992, Petra Holländer lives and works as a visual artist in her hometown. She studied Communication Design as well as Drawing and Printmaking at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
With a practice spanning painting, drawing, illustration and mural art, Petra Holländer works at the intersection of introspection and social reflection. She investigates psychological states, personal transformation and the demands that contemporary society places on women: breaking out of normative patterns, claiming space, and negotiating between inner experience and external expectation. Through expressive composition and an intense use of color, she condenses these tensions into images that move between vulnerability and strength.
Her artistic voice extends into selected commissioned work. Past collaborators include WWF, Dr. Martens, Duden and the City of Vienna.
