Take up space and grow explores the act of claiming space as an expression of self-determination and quiet resistance. In this three-part series, female figures with diverse body forms fill the canvas. Unfiltered, unapologetic, and self-assured. Their presence is not ornamental but intentional, while abstract shapes and floral elements in the background evoke growth, transformation, and the unfolding that becomes possible once space is taken rather than requested.
The interplay of solid physicality and soft painterly textures creates a tension between strength and vulnerability. The works articulate a quiet yet firm statement: taking up space is not excess, but a necessary foundation for growth, both personal and collective.
